- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Grease a loaf pan and set aside.
- In a medium bowl, add the flour, baking powder, and salt, and whisk to combine.
- In a large bowl, add the sugar and orange zest. Use your fingers to rub the orange zest into the sugar.
- Whisk in the eggs, canola oil, orange juice, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 45-50 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, let the loaf cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to finish cooling.
- To make the glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, orange zest, and orange juice in a medium bowl until smooth and combined.
- Pour the glaze evenly over the cooled loaf. Let the glaze set before cutting into slices and serving.

This loaf is delicious served warm or at room temperature. Try adding nuts or dried fruit for extra texture.
