Ingredients
  

  • 454 g Ground Beef (90/10 or leaner) Lean alternatives include ground turkey or chicken.
  • 15 ml Olive Oil Can substitute with avocado oil.
  • 75 g Diced Yellow Onion Shallots may be used for a milder flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Freshly Ground Black Pepper
  • 240 g Shredded Lettuce Romaine or iceberg; romaine holds up well for meal prep.
  • 2 large Diced Tomatoes
  • 75 g Diced Pickles Dill preferred.
  • 75 g Diced Red Onion Soaking in cold water can mellow its sharpness.
  • 120 g Shredded Cheddar Cheese Sharp, freshly shredded; substitute with plant-based cheese for dairy-free.
  • 4 strips Cooked Bacon Crumble after cooking.
  • 60 ml Mayonnaise Avocado oil mayo or Greek yogurt can be used.
  • 15 ml Ketchup Sugar-free preferred.
  • 15 ml Yellow Mustard
  • 5 ml Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder

Method
 

  1. Toast bacon in the oven at 400°F for 15-18 minutes until crispy. Set aside to cool, then prep your veggies while it bakes.
  2. Sauté ground beef and diced yellow onion in a skillet with olive oil over medium-high heat. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, then drain excess fat.
  3. Season beef mixture with salt and pepper while it's still warm and set aside to cool slightly.
  4. Whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder until smooth to create your creamy burger sauce.
  5. Assemble bowls by layering shredded lettuce, beef mixture, tomatoes, red onion, pickles, cheddar cheese, and crumbled bacon.
  6. Store burger sauce separately to keep everything fresh and crisp. Refrigerate for up to 4 days.
