Ingredients
Method
- Bring salted water to a boil and cook spaghetti until al dente; reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, drain, and toss with butter.
- Pat steak dry and season with salt, pepper, and soy sauce; add cornstarch if desired.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over high heat and sear steak 2–3 minutes per side; remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic for 30 seconds; add soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, sriracha, rice vinegar, sesame oil, red pepper flakes, and water.
- Simmer sauce 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Toss pasta in the sauce, adding pasta water as needed; return steak to pan and combine.
- Garnish with sesame seeds and fresh herbs; serve immediately.
Notes
Keep steak dry for maximum sear, avoid burning garlic, add pasta water gradually for ideal sauce consistency, and undercook pasta slightly if planning leftovers.
