Ingredients
  

  • 360 g All-Purpose Flour
  • 7 g Active Dry Yeast or Instant Yeast 1 package (0.25 oz)
  • 5 g sugar
  • 240 ml warm water 110°F
  • 5 g salt
  • 60 g plain yogurt
  • 30 ml oil or ghee
  • 45 g minced garlic
  • 30 g melted butter
  • 15 g chopped cilantro or parsley

Method
 

  1. In a bowl, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let it sit for 10 minutes, until frothy.
  2. In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, yogurt, and oil.
  3. Add activated yeast mixture, and knead for 10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Cover and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled.
  5. Divide the dough into 8 equal balls.
  6. Roll each ball into an oval shape, about 8 inches long.
  7. Heat a greased skillet over medium-high heat.
  8. Cook each naan until bubbly and golden brown, about 1 minute per side.
  9. Mix garlic with melted butter.
  10. Brush the garlic butter mixture over the naans. Sprinkle with salt, and garnish with cilantro or parsley.

Notes

For extra flavor, feel free to add herbs or spices to the dough or experiment with different toppings.
