  • 4 fillets salmon fillets approximately 6 oz each, skin-on or off as preferred
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce adjust to your desired level of sweetness and spice
  • 3 cloves garlic minced finely for a robust flavor
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce use low-sodium for a healthier option
  • 1 tablespoon honey adds a lovely glaze and balances the chili
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil helps to create a smooth marinade
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil for an aromatic, nutty depth of flavor
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger adds a bright, zesty kick
  • 0.5 tsp Salt season lightly before adding the sauce
  • 0.25 tsp Pepper freshly ground black pepper for best flavor
  • 2 tablespoons Chopped green onions for garnish, adds freshness and color
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds for garnish, toasted for extra crunch and flavor

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, garlic, soy sauce, honey, olive oil, sesame oil, and grated ginger.
  3. Place salmon fillets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Season lightly with salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the sweet chili garlic mixture evenly over each salmon fillet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Remove from oven and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

This dish pairs wonderfully with steamed rice, quinoa, or a fresh green salad for a complete meal. For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.
