- Wash and slice strawberries, toss with a sprinkle of sugar, and let sit for 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix whipping cream, sugar, and vanilla; whip until soft peaks form.
- Prepare shortcake mix as per package instructions; bake and crumble once cooled.
- Fill half of an Easter egg mold with crumbled shortcake, add whipped cream and strawberries, then top with more crumbled shortcake before sealing.
- Melt chocolate candy coating; dip filled molds until fully coated, then let set on parchment paper.
- Once set, remove from molds and enjoy chilled.
