Ingredients
  

  • 450 g steak (sirloin or flank), sliced
  • 300 g cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 240 ml queso sauce
  • 15 ml olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • garnish Chopped cilantro
  • to taste Lime wedges

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the sliced steak with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the seasoned steak to the skillet; cook until browned and cooked to your liking (about 3-5 minutes for medium-rare). Keep an eye on it to avoid overcooking!
  4. If necessary, reheat the cooked rice in a separate pot while the steak cooks.
  5. To serve, place a portion of rice in each bowl, top with the cooked steak, and drizzle with queso sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve with lime wedges on the side.
