Method
- Grease a 9×13-inch pan with butter or line with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a large pot over low heat.
- Add mini marshmallows and stir constantly until smooth and melted.
- Remove from heat and stir in orange gel food coloring until desired color is reached.
- Fold in Rice Krispies cereal gently until evenly coated.
- Transfer mixture to prepared pan, pressing evenly with damp hands or parchment.
- Sprinkle Halloween decorations on top while still warm and press gently to adhere.
- Cool for 1 hour at room temperature. Optional: refrigerate 10 minutes before slicing for clean cuts.
Notes
Always melt marshmallows over low heat for best texture. Apply decorations while the mixture is still warm for proper adhesion. Use fresh marshmallows for smooth results.
