Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet or grease a muffin tin.
- Roll pizza dough to 1/4-inch thickness and slice into 2-inch-wide strips.
- Spread thin layer of pizza sauce on each strip, leaving 1/2 inch clean at one edge.
- Sprinkle mozzarella evenly and layer pepperoni slices along the sauced edge.
- Fold the unsauced edge over toppings, then roll tightly to form rose shapes.
- Place roses in muffin tin or on baking sheet.
- Brush tops with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
- Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Cool slightly and garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
Avoid overfilling dough strips, and ensure dough is at room temperature for easy rolling and proper shaping.
