Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet or prepare a cast iron skillet.
- Cook ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
- Add taco seasoning and water to the beef. Simmer for 2–3 minutes until thickened.
- Arrange tortilla chips in an even layer on the baking sheet.
- Sprinkle half of the cheeses over the chips, then add half of the beef mixture.
- Add another light layer of chips, followed by remaining beef and cheese.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and top with tomatoes, red onion, jalapeños, sour cream, guacamole, and cilantro.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy.
Notes
Use thick-cut tortilla chips to prevent sogginess. Add fresh toppings after baking to keep the nachos crisp.
