Simple Irresistible Cherry Garcia Fudge

Ingredients
  

  • cups dark or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • cups white chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk divided
  • ¾ cup maraschino cherries drained and chopped
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • Optional: ½ teaspoon cherry extract

Method
 

  1. Line an 8×8 pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt dark chocolate chips with half the condensed milk and butter in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
  3. Stir in half of the vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, melt white chocolate chips with remaining condensed milk and butter the same way.
  5. Stir in remaining vanilla and chopped cherries.
  6. Pour half the dark chocolate into the pan and spread evenly.
  7. Add the white cherry mixture on top.
  8. Pour remaining dark chocolate and swirl gently with a knife.
  9. Refrigerate until set, then slice into squares.

Notes

Make sure cherries are completely dry to avoid grainy fudge. Do not overheat chocolate. Use high-quality chocolate chips for best texture and flavor.
