- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and cook until soft and translucent.
- Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart.
- Season with paprika and Italian seasoning.
- Stir in tomato paste and cook until slightly darkened.
- Pour in broth and add orzo pasta.
- Bring to a simmer, cover, and cook while stirring often.
- Cook until orzo is tender and liquid is mostly absorbed.
- Remove from heat and stir in Parmesan cheese.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve warm with extra Parmesan if desired.
Notes
Stir frequently to prevent the orzo from sticking. Add extra broth if needed to maintain a creamy texture.
