Ingredients
  

  • 16 oz cream cheese softened to room temperature for easier mixing
  • 1 cup powdered sugar also known as confectioners' sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract use a good quality extract for best flavor
  • 0.5 cup salted caramel sauce homemade or store-bought, for filling and drizzling
  • 2 cups pretzels crush finely for an even coating
  • 0.5 cup roasted peanuts finely chop for better adherence to the balls
  • 2 tbsp butter melted to help bind the coating ingredients

Method
 

  1. Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth in a medium bowl.
  2. Chill the mixture for 30 minutes until firm enough to handle.
  3. Roll the chilled cream cheese mixture into small balls. Make a small indentation in the center of each ball and fill with a dab of salted caramel sauce, then reshape to seal.
  4. In a separate shallow dish, combine the crushed pretzels, finely chopped roasted peanuts, and melted butter for the coating.
  5. Roll each caramel-filled ball in the pretzel-peanut coating until fully covered.
  6. Chill the coated balls again for at least 30 minutes to set completely.
  7. Before serving, drizzle additional salted caramel sauce over the chilled cheesecake balls for an extra touch.

Notes

These cheesecake balls are a perfect make-ahead dessert or party snack. For an extra festive touch, you can also dip them in melted chocolate before rolling in the pretzel coating.
