Method
- Mix cream cheese, egg, cake mix, baking powder, and oil until smooth.
- Fold in white chocolate chips if using.
- Cover and chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop 1.5-tablespoon portions onto baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- Bake 12–13 minutes until edges are set and centers slightly soft.
- Cool 10 minutes on baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
Always use room-temperature cream cheese and chill dough to prevent excessive spreading for perfectly soft, chewy cookies.
