Ingredients
  

  • 2 tubes refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ¾ lb sliced corned beef
  • cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • ¾ cup sauerkraut drained and squeezed dry
  • ½ cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 egg beaten (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Unroll one tube of crescent dough and press into the bottom of the dish, sealing seams.
  3. Spread Thousand Island dressing evenly over the dough.
  4. Layer corned beef evenly, followed by Swiss cheese and sauerkraut.
  5. Unroll remaining crescent dough and place over the filling, sealing edges.
  6. Brush the top with beaten egg if using and sprinkle with caraway seeds.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Rest briefly, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Be sure to thoroughly drain the sauerkraut to prevent excess moisture and ensure a crisp, flaky crust.
