Method
- In a large bowl, combine Rice Chex cereal and pretzel pieces.
- Melt peanut butter and chocolate together on the stovetop or in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
- Pour the chocolate-peanut butter mixture over the cereal and pretzels, stirring gently to coat evenly.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes until mixture begins to set.
- In a large bowl, layer powdered sugar and the chilled mixture, tossing gently until evenly coated.
- Chill again for 30–60 minutes, then add more powdered sugar as needed until evenly coated.
- Stir in M&Ms and peanut butter cups.
- Serve in a festive bowl or store in an airtight container for up to one week.
Notes
Chill the mixture in two stages to achieve the perfect coating. Add candies only after chilling to prevent color bleeding and melting.
