Ingredients
  

  • 2 pieces bananas slightly overripe adds extra sweetness and softness
  • 2 tablespoons sugar or substitute with your preferred sweetener
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon adds warming spice flavor
  • 0.25 teaspoon nutmeg optional enhances depth of flavor

Method
 

  1. Slice the bananas into thick rounds, approximately ⅓ inch each.
  2. Mix the sugar, cinnamon, and optional nutmeg in a small bowl. Set aside.
  3. Spray a large skillet lightly with nonstick spray and heat it over medium-low. Add the banana slices.
  4. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the bananas. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Flip the banana slices and sprinkle the remaining cinnamon mixture on top. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until soft and golden.

Notes

Great as a quick dessert or breakfast addition. Serve warm with ice cream, yogurt, or a dollop of whipped cream.
