- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until onion is translucent and fragrant.
- Stir in the tomato sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar.
- Let the mixture simmer on low for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- While the meat simmers, toast the garlic Texas toast in the oven per package instructions.
- Spoon the meat mixture generously over each slice of toast.
- Sprinkle the cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.
- Place under the broiler for 1 to 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicy kick, consider adding some hot sauce or jalapeños to the meat mixture!
