- Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sauté diced onions until translucent (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add sliced smoked sausage and cook until browned (5-6 minutes).
- Season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil. Add pasta; cook according to package instructions until al dente (8-10 minutes).
- Reduce heat to low, stir in heavy cream and honey BBQ sauce until well combined.
- Gradually add cheddar cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Adjust seasonings if needed and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
Notes
Feel free to add some chopped parsley on top for freshness and extra flavor. This dish is also great for meal prep!
