  • 120 g powdered sugar Reduce for a less sugary treat or opt for a sugar substitute.
  • 120 ml fresh lime juice Consider using lime zest for an extra zesty kick.
  • 60 ml tequila For a non-alcoholic option, lime-flavored soda works wonderfully.
  • 60 ml orange liqueur Optional; can swap for orange juice.
  • 100 g sugar Coarse sugar gives a delightful texture.
  • 15 g lime zest Mix with sugar for a zesty combination.

Equipment

  • Mixing Bowl
  • Shallow Dish

Method

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, fresh lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur until smooth and well blended.
  2. With clean hands, take spoonfuls of the mixture and roll them into small, even balls, about one inch in diameter.
  3. Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
  4. In a shallow dish, mix together sugar and lime zest. Roll each chilled ball in this mixture until fully coated.
