Method
- In a mixing bowl, combine vanilla wafer crumbs, softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, fresh lime juice, tequila, and orange liqueur until smooth and well blended.
- With clean hands, take spoonfuls of the mixture and roll them into small, even balls, about one inch in diameter.
- Transfer the tray to the refrigerator and chill for at least 30 minutes.
- In a shallow dish, mix together sugar and lime zest. Roll each chilled ball in this mixture until fully coated.
- Once coated, keep the Margarita Balls refrigerated until it’s time to serve.
Notes
These Margarita Balls are best served chilled. You can also experiment with different flavored liqueurs if desired.
