- Start by crushing two-thirds of the chocolate sandwich cookies into fine crumbs and press into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a mixing bowl, beat together the softened cream cheese and unsalted butter until smooth. Gradually mix in powdered sugar and fold in whipped topping.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant pudding mix with cold milk and vanilla extract until it thickens.
- Gently fold the pudding into the cream cheese mixture and pour over the prepared cookie crust, spreading evenly.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to let the layers set properly.
- Before serving, sprinkle reserved crushed chocolate cookies and colorful Easter candies on top.

Feel free to customize the Easter candies to your liking, or add a layer of gummy worms for a classic 'dirt' cake look.
