- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3 minutes. Peel the bananas and slice them lengthwise into halves. Line your air fryer basket with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, brown sugar, ground cinnamon, and vanilla extract until it forms a thick paste.
- Place banana halves flat-side up on the parchment paper. Use a pastry brush to generously coat the exposed flesh with the brown sugar mixture, pushing it to the edges.
- Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 6 to 8 minutes until the surface is a deep golden-brown, the glaze is actively bubbling, and the edges are charred.
- Transfer the bananas to a plate, drizzle with the pooled amber caramel syrup, and immediately top with flaky sea salt and finely crushed toasted pecans.
