Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
- Beat in egg, milk, vanilla, and oil.
- Gradually combine dry and wet mixtures.
- Mix ¼ cup sugar with 1½ tsp cinnamon for the swirl.
- Pour half the batter into the pan, sprinkle half the swirl mix, repeat, and swirl lightly with a knife.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool 10 minutes in pan, then transfer to rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use room-temperature ingredients and avoid overmixing for a tender crumb. Try whole wheat flour or almond milk for healthier variations.
