Ingredients

  • 1 cup lump crab meat
  • 1 cup shrimp peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise optional
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 salmon fillets 6–8 oz each
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter melted
  • Optional: 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, and lemon juice until smooth. Add parsley, garlic powder, Old Bay, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
  3. Fold in crab meat carefully, preserving chunks, then add chopped shrimp. Stir until evenly combined.
  4. Pat salmon fillets dry. Slice a horizontal pocket in each fillet without cutting through. Season inside and out with salt and pepper.
  5. Stuff each pocket generously with the crab and shrimp mixture. Secure edges with toothpicks if needed.
  6. Brush fillets with olive oil and drizzle melted butter on top. Sprinkle with paprika for color.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes until salmon flakes easily and internal temperature reaches 130–145°F.
  8. Let rest for 2–3 minutes, remove toothpicks, and serve hot.

Notes

Use fresh, high-quality seafood for best flavor. Fold crab meat gently to retain texture. For a keto-friendly option, replace breadcrumbs with crushed almonds or pork rinds. Do not overcook—salmon should remain moist and tender.
