Ingredients
  

  • 2 large russet potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cut potatoes into even matchstick fries.
  2. Soak in cold water for 25–30 minutes.
  3. Drain and pat completely dry.
  4. Toss with olive oil and seasonings.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 380°F.
  6. Place fries in basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook for 14–18 minutes, shaking halfway.
  8. Cook until golden and crispy.
  9. Season with extra salt and serve immediately.

Notes

Do not skip soaking and drying for maximum crispiness. Avoid overcrowding the basket. Adjust cooking time based on fry thickness.
