Ingredients

  • 6 –8 white fish fillets cod, haddock, tilapia, or pollock
  • 1 –2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil spray
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp chili powder or cayenne
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp Old Bay or cajun seasoning optional

Method

  1. Pat fish fillets completely dry with paper towels.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix panko with all seasonings.
  3. Lightly brush or spray both sides of fish with oil.
  4. Press fillets firmly into seasoned panko, coating well.
  5. Preheat air fryer to 400°F for 3 minutes.
  6. Place fillets in a single layer in the basket.
  7. Air fry for 12–15 minutes, flipping at the 8-minute mark.
  8. Cook until deep golden and fish flakes easily.
  9. Remove and serve immediately with lemon and sauce of choice.

Notes

Use panko breadcrumbs for maximum crunch. Do not overcrowd the basket. Spray lightly with oil before cooking for extra crispiness.
