  • 1 cup hot brewed coffee medium-dark roast
  • 2 oz Irish cream liqueur Baileys or similar
  • 1 oz Irish whiskey optional
  • Fresh whipped cream for topping
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish
Substitutions:
  • Use non-alcoholic Irish cream syrup and omit whiskey for an alcohol-free version
  • Replace cream with oat or coconut cream for dairy-free option
  • Add 1 tsp maple syrup or honey for sweetness

Method

  1. Brew 1 cup of hot coffee using your preferred method (195–205°F is ideal).
  2. Warm your mug with hot water, then discard the water to keep your drink hot longer.
  3. Pour brewed coffee into the mug and stir in Irish cream liqueur.
  4. Add Irish whiskey if using and stir gently to combine.
  5. Top with fresh whipped cream using a piping bag for a decorative swirl.
  6. Garnish with chocolate shavings before serving immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture. For non-alcoholic versions, replace the liqueur with Irish cream-flavored syrup. Use high-quality coffee for the best results.
