Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Sauté the sliced kielbasa until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add diced onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sour cream, heavy cream, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until smooth.
- In a greased 9×13-inch baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes on the bottom. Top with half of the sautéed kielbasa, half of the onion and garlic mixture, and half of the cheddar cheese.
- Repeat Layers: Add the remaining potatoes, kielbasa, onions, and garlic. Pour the remaining cream mixture over the layers. Finish with the rest of the cheddar cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Once done, remove from the oven and let it cool for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Optionally, sprinkle fresh parsley on top for added flavor and presentation.
Notes
