Ingredients

  • 1 lb cooked corned beef chopped
  • 1 cup sauerkraut drained and patted dry
  • 1 cup Swiss cheese shredded
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seeds optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, Thousand Island dressing, salt, pepper, and caraway seeds.
  3. Unroll crescent dough and press into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing seams.
  4. Spread the corned beef mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Top with remaining crescent dough, sealing edges as needed.
  6. Bake for 20–25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
  7. Cool for 5 minutes, slice, and serve warm.

Notes

Drain the sauerkraut thoroughly to prevent a soggy crust and allow the casserole to rest before slicing for clean portions.
