Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) for pie crust or 375°F (190°C) for crescent dough.
- Grease a standard muffin tin with cooking spray or butter.
- Unroll dough and cut lengthwise into 1–1.5 inch wide strips.
- Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce over each strip.
- Sprinkle mozzarella evenly over the sauce.
- Arrange pepperoni or tomato slices along the top edge of the dough.
- Fold the bottom edge of dough up and roll tightly to form a rose.
- Place each rose seam-side down into the muffin tin.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and cheese is melted.
- Cool slightly, garnish with basil, and serve warm.
Notes
Use a thin layer of sauce to prevent soggy roses. Let cool for 2–3 minutes before removing from the muffin tin for best shape.
