- Combine warm water and sugar, sprinkle yeast on top, and let sit until foamy.
- In a large bowl, whisk flour, salt, and cinnamon.
- Add yeast mixture and softened butter to dry ingredients and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead dough on a floured surface until smooth and elastic.
- Gently knead in drained raisins.
- Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled.
- Shape dough into a loaf and place in a greased 9x5-inch pan.
- Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30–35 minutes until golden and baked through.
- Cool slightly before slicing and serving.
Notes
Soaking raisins prevents dryness and ensures even distribution. Allow bread to cool before slicing to avoid a gummy texture.
