Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb lean ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 can refried beans black beans optional
  • 1 cup low-fat sour cream or Greek yogurt
  • 2 ripe avocados
  • 1 cup salsa
  • cups shredded iceberg lettuce
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Chopped onions
  • Large flour tortillas for tombstones
  • Black olives optional
  • Jalapeños optional

Method
 

  1. Brown ground beef in skillet 6–8 minutes, breaking into small pieces.
  2. Drain fat, add taco seasoning + 2–3 tbsp water, simmer 3–4 minutes.
  3. Spread refried beans in serving dish as base.
  4. Add seasoned beef evenly over beans.
  5. Spread sour cream, then mashed avocado over beef layer.
  6. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions.
  7. Cut tortillas into tombstone shapes, bake 350°F for 8–10 minutes until crispy.
  8. Insert tombstones into dip, decorate with olives and jalapeños for spooky accents.

Notes

Serve in a rectangular glass or Halloween-themed dish for best graveyard effect. Add lime to avocado to prevent browning. Assemble no more than 2 hours before serving.
