Ingredients
Method
Prepare the Steak:
- Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Let the steak sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Sear the Steak Bites:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until desired doneness is achieved.
- Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce:
- In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Gradually add the parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
Combine Steak and Sauce:
- Return the steak bites to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the steak is well-coated and the sauce is thickened.
Serve and Garnish:
- Transfer the steak bites to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.
Notes
- You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or milk for a lighter sauce.
- If you're looking for a lower-fat option, use lean cuts like flank steak or sirloin.
- For a dairy-free version, swap the heavy cream with coconut milk and use a dairy-free parmesan alternative.
