Ingredients

For the Steak Bites:
  • 1 lb 450g sirloin steak (or ribeye, flank steak, or tenderloin)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
For the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce:
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 3-4 garlic cloves minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream for dairy-free option
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese or dairy-free parmesan for dairy-free option
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes optional, for a spicy kick
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Method

Prepare the Steak:
  1. Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes. Season with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. Let the steak sit at room temperature for 10 minutes to ensure even cooking.
Sear the Steak Bites:
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak bites in a single layer. Sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until desired doneness is achieved.
  2. Remove the steak bites from the skillet and set aside.
Make the Garlic Parmesan Cream Sauce:
  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute, being careful not to burn it.
  2. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  3. Gradually add the parmesan cheese, whisking until melted and the sauce becomes creamy.
Combine Steak and Sauce:
  1. Return the steak bites to the skillet, stirring to coat them in the creamy garlic parmesan sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the steak is well-coated and the sauce is thickened.
  2.
Serve and Garnish:
  1. Transfer the steak bites to a serving dish. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute the heavy cream with half-and-half or milk for a lighter sauce.
  • If you're looking for a lower-fat option, use lean cuts like flank steak or sirloin.

  • For a dairy-free version, swap the heavy cream with coconut milk and use a dairy-free parmesan alternative.
