- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, mix the milk and eggs. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet until a smooth batter forms.
- Heat vegetable oil in a saucepan to about 2 inches depth on medium heat until hot (approximately 2-4 minutes).
- Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil and fry each side for 60-90 seconds until golden brown. Work in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- Remove the bites and place them on a paper-towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Dust immediately with powdered sugar and serve warm.
Notes
These funnel cake bites are best served fresh and warm. For an extra treat, consider drizzling with chocolate sauce, fruit compote, or a dollop of whipped cream.
