Method
- Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature.
- Cream butter and sugar for 3–4 minutes until light and fluffy.
- Add egg and extracts; mix until combined.
- Gradually mix in flour and salt until dough forms.
- Divide dough; add gel coloring if desired.
- Load dough into cookie press and press shapes onto silicone-lined baking sheets.
- Add sprinkles before baking.
- Bake at 350°F for 6–8 minutes until edges are just set.
- Cool on baking sheet for 2 minutes, then transfer to wire rack.
Notes
Use silicone mats—not parchment—to help cookies release cleanly from the press and maintain perfect shapes.
