Ingredients

  • 8 oz thick chow mein or lo mein noodles
  • 1 lb pork thinly sliced
  • 2 cups cabbage chopped
  • 1 cup mushrooms sliced
  • 1 cup green onions chopped
  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Method

  1. In a bowl, combine sliced pork with soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. Marinate for at least 10 minutes.
  2. Cook noodles in boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok or pan over high heat. Stir-fry marinated pork for 3–4 minutes until cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add cabbage, mushrooms, and green onions. Stir-fry for 4–5 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Return pork to the pan, add cooked noodles, and toss everything together for 2–3 minutes until well combined.
  6. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve hot.

Notes

For best results, use high heat and avoid overcooking the noodles to maintain their chewy texture.
