Method
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Combine sausage, shredded cheese, and Bisquick in a large bowl until just incorporated. Add cream cheese first if using.
- Roll mixture into 1-inch balls using a tablespoon or cookie scoop.
- Place balls on baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart, and bake 18–20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let rest 5 minutes before serving to prevent crumbling.
Notes
Use room-temperature sausage and freshly shredded cheese for best texture. Avoid overmixing to keep sausage balls tender.
