Ingredients
  

  • 570 g canned crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 227 g unsalted butter (melted)
  • 50 g brown sugar optional
  • 40 g shredded coconut optional
  • 40 g chopped pecans or walnuts optional

Equipment

  • 9x13 inch Baking Dish

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  3. Pour entire can of crushed pineapple with juice into the dish and spread evenly.
  4. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer without mixing.
  5. Sprinkle optional brown sugar, coconut, and nuts if desired.
  6. Pour melted butter evenly over the top, covering as much of the dry cake mix as possible.
  7. Bake for 45-55 minutes until golden brown and bubbling at the edges.
  8. Let rest for 15 minutes before serving.
