Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch red pepper flakes optional
  • 10 oz linguine
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 4 green onions sliced

Method
 

  1. Boil salted water and cook linguine according to package instructions.
  2. Drain noodles and set aside, tossing lightly with oil.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.
  4. Drain excess fat from the beef.
  5. Add minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
  6. Stir in brown sugar, beef broth, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  7. Mix well and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  8. In a bowl, whisk cornstarch and water to create a slurry.
  9. Add slurry to the skillet and stir until sauce thickens.
  10. Toss cooked linguine with the beef mixture until fully coated.
  11. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve immediately.

Notes

Use low-sodium soy sauce to control salt levels. Substitute ground turkey for a leaner option. Slightly undercook noodles if planning to reheat later.
