Ingredients

  • 4 lobster tails 5–6 oz each, fresh or thawed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • tsp paprika
  • tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat your oven broiler to high and position the rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise and carefully lift the meat through the opening, keeping it attached at the base (butterfly technique).
  3. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, parsley, paprika, Old Bay, and salt until fully combined.
  4. Place lobster tails on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush generously with the garlic butter mixture, reserving 3 tablespoons for finishing.
  5. Broil for 8–10 minutes or until lobster meat is opaque and reaches 140–145°F internally. Avoid overcooking.
  6. Remove from oven and immediately brush with the reserved garlic butter for a glossy finish.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley, extra paprika, and lemon wedges before serving.

Notes

Always thaw lobster tails completely before cooking for even texture. Use fresh garlic and lemon for best flavor. For a lighter version, replace half the butter with low-sodium broth or increase citrus for a bright finish.
