Method
- Melt white chocolate chips and butter in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in strawberry extract and optional pink food coloring until combined.
- Add strawberry cake mix and mix until smooth and lump-free.
- Pour cereal into a large bowl and drizzle strawberry coating over it.
- Gently fold until all cereal pieces are evenly coated.
- Spread mixture on a parchment-lined baking sheet and let cool for 30 minutes.
- Add cooled cereal to a Ziploc bag with powdered sugar and crushed freeze-dried strawberries.
- Shake gently until fully coated and serve or store.
Notes
Use freeze-dried strawberries for best crunch and flavor. Always allow mixture to cool completely before adding powdered sugar to avoid stickiness.
