Ingredients

  • 2 lobster tails 8–10 oz each, fresh or thawed
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C).
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut the top of each lobster shell lengthwise and lift meat to rest on top.
  3. In a bowl, whisk melted butter, garlic, lemon juice, parsley, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  4. Brush lobster meat generously with garlic butter mixture, reserving some for serving.
  5. Place lobster tails on a baking sheet and broil for 6–8 minutes.
  6. Check internal temperature; lobster is done at 140–145°F.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 3 minutes.
  8. Drizzle with remaining garlic butter and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

Avoid overcooking lobster tails—check temperature early. Properly cooked lobster should be opaque, tender, and slightly springy.
