Ingredients
Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until combined.
- In a large bowl, whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla and buttermilk until creamy.
- Gently fold dry ingredients into wet ingredients just until no dry streaks remain.
- Fold in red and green sprinkles with 3–4 gentle strokes to avoid color bleeding.
- Pour batter into prepared loaf pan, smooth top, and sprinkle with coarse sugar or extra sprinkles.
- Bake 45–55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool in pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
Use jimmies-style sprinkles to prevent color bleeding. Toss sprinkles lightly in flour before folding for even distribution. Let the loaf cool before slicing to maintain its soft, tender crumb.
