- In a large mixing bowl, combine cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat 2–3 minutes until glossy and smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then add vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Cover the dough tightly and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll chilled dough into 1-inch balls, then coat generously in powdered sugar.
- Place on baking sheets 2 inches apart and bake 10–12 minutes until edges are set and centers appear slightly soft.
- Cool on the baking sheet for 15 minutes before serving.

For perfect crinkles, ensure the dough chills fully and coat each dough ball generously in powdered sugar before baking.
