Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce plus extra for rimming
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Green apple slices for garnish
  • Ice cubes
  • Brown sugar for rim

Method
 

  1. Dip glass rims in caramel sauce, then into brown sugar. Set aside to firm up.
  2. In a pitcher, combine apple cider, caramel sauce, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Stir until caramel fully dissolves.
  3. Fill glasses with ice. Pour cider mixture until 3/4 full.
  4. Top gently with sparkling water or club soda.
  5. Garnish with thin apple slices and serve immediately.

Notes

Prepare the cider base up to 24 hours ahead. Add sparkling water just before serving for best fizz. For a hot version, heat the cider base gently and skip the sparkling water.
