- Wash oranges under cool running water. Slice off both ends and cut into 1/4-inch rounds.
- In a pot, combine sugar and water over medium heat until the sugar dissolves completely.
- Carefully add orange slices to the syrup; simmer for 30 minutes, flipping occasionally until translucent.
- Use tongs to transfer slices onto parchment paper or a cooling rack; allow them to cool completely before serving.
Notes
These candied orange slices make great gifts and can be used to top desserts or enjoy on their own.
