Ingredients

  • 4 fresh lobster tails about 6 oz each, thawed if frozen
  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted (or ghee for dairy-free)
  • 3 cloves garlic minced (about 1 tbsp)
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice plus extra wedges for serving
  • 1 tsp paprika smoked paprika optional
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped (plus extra for garnish)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or non-stick spray.
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook 1 minute until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper. Remove from heat.
  3. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise to the tail fin. Gently pull apart and lift the meat on top of the shell.
  4. Place lobster tails in the baking dish. Brush generously with garlic butter, spooning some under the meat for extra flavor.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, until meat is opaque and firm. Internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
  6. Brush with remaining butter, sprinkle with parsley, and serve with lemon wedges.

Notes

Avoid overcooking—lobster should be tender, not rubbery. Use fresh lemon juice and room temperature butter for best flavor. This dish pairs beautifully with rice, mashed potatoes, or roasted vegetables.
