Ingredients

  • 3 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 whole allspice berries
  • 3 whole cloves
  • 3 cups apple cider
  • 2 cups cranberry juice
  • 2 cups orange juice
  • cups pomegranate juice
  • cups pineapple juice
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda or ginger ale
  • 1 orange sliced
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
Substitutions:
  • Replace apple cider with apple juice + ½ tsp apple pie spice
  • Use ginger ale instead of soda for warmer flavor
  • Frozen cranberries work if fresh aren’t available

Method

  1. In a large punch bowl, combine cinnamon sticks, allspice berries, and cloves.
  2. Add apple cider, cranberry juice, orange juice, pomegranate juice, and pineapple juice. Stir gently to combine.
  3. Let mixture infuse for 30 minutes (or up to 2 hours refrigerated for stronger spice flavor).
  4. Just before serving, stir in lemon-lime soda or ginger ale to maintain carbonation.
  5. Garnish with orange slices and cranberries. Serve over ice in glasses or use decorative ice rings with frozen fruit.

Notes

Yields about 12 servings. For a warm version, simmer juices and spices for 1 hour and serve in mugs with cinnamon sticks. Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 1 week or freeze for 3 months (remove fruit before freezing).
