Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp butter Melted over low heat until smooth.
  • 10 oz marshmallows Stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  • 6 cups Kellogg’s Rice Krispies cereal Stir until evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  • as needed ml cooking spray To prevent the mixture from sticking to the molds.
  • as desired g small candy filling Optional, for a sweet surprise in the center of the eggs.

  • Large saucepan
  • Plastic snap-apart Easter eggs

Method
 

  1. Wash and dry plastic Easter eggs. Lightly coat the inside of each half with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
  3. Add marshmallows to the melted butter and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and add the Rice Krispies cereal. Stir until the cereal is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
  5. While the mixture is still warm, press it into the prepared plastic egg halves. Optionally, add a small candy filling in the center. Press the halves together and let cool completely before carefully removing from the molds.

Notes

Feel free to get creative with the candy filling, or decorate the cooled eggs with icing and sprinkles for extra fun!
