Method
 

  1. Wash and hull strawberries. Crush them one layer at a time in a large bowl using a potato masher or fork.
  2. Measure exactly 2 cups of crushed strawberries into a large bowl.
  3. Add exactly 4 cups of granulated sugar to the strawberries and stir until well combined. Let stand for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add 1 pouch of liquid fruit pectin to the mixture and stir for 3 minutes.
  5. Ladle jam into clean jars, leaving 1/2 inch headspace.
  6. Wipe rims clean and seal tightly with lids.
  7. Let stand at room temperature for 24 hours, or until set.
  8. Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 weeks or freeze for up to 1 year.
